Privacy Policy
Effective date: 25 May 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Rovox (the "site") collects and handles personal data. We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. Information we collect
We collect a deliberately limited amount of information:
- •Form submissions — when you join the waitlist, enquire about advertising, or suggest a tool, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, and, optionally, phone number, company, and message or tool details.
- •Site analytics — we record coarse, first-party usage events such as page paths, the referring page, and a broad device type (mobile or desktop). We do not use cookies for analytics, we do not store your IP address, and we do not build advertising or cross-site tracking profiles.
- •Administrative accounts — accounts used by Rovox staff to operate the site. These are not available to the public.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- •respond to your enquiries and operate the waitlist
- •review tools suggested through the submission form
- •understand aggregate site usage so we can improve the directory
- •operate, secure, and maintain the service
4. Consent and legal basis
We process the personal data you submit through our forms on the basis of your consent, given when you choose to submit a form. We process limited operational data as necessary to run and secure the service. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, as described below.
5. Cookies and tracking
The public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The admin area uses a strictly necessary session cookie so Rovox staff can stay signed in; this is not used on the public site.
If we add analytics tooling that relies on cookies in future, we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism before doing so.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with infrastructure providers that process it on our behalf — our database and authentication provider, and our hosting provider — under their respective terms. When online payments become available, payment information will be handled by a payment gateway and not stored by us. We may disclose data where required by law.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Form submissions are retained while the related enquiry, waitlist entry, or tool review is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics events are coarse and non-identifying. Financial records, once payments are in use, are retained as required by law. Retention details are recorded internally and reviewed periodically.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- •access the personal data we hold about you
- •request correction of inaccurate or outdated data
- •request erasure of your personal data
- •withdraw your consent to future processing
- •raise a grievance about how your data is handled
9. Data security
Personal data is protected by access controls and database row-level security, and is never exposed to the public site. Timestamps are stored consistently in UTC. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold.
10. Children
Rovox is intended for adults and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
12. Grievance officer and contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or grievances, contact our Grievance Officer at hello@rovox.in, or write to us at Gujarat, India.
